Birchbox: June 2016

I received my June 2016 Birchbox. I’ve got to say, this month I am impressed. The last few months’ Birchbox have just been okay. This month though, Birchbox nailed it.

Beginning on the left, I received a sample of the Oribe dry texturizing spray. I have got to say, I now understand the hype behind this product. It is amazing. It smells amazing. It gave my hair nice texture without making it feel gritty. It’s also insanely expensive for a full size bottle, so one downfall.

Next, I received a sample of Evologie’s intensive blemish serum. This has a tea tree oil scent. I honestly didn’t notice much of a difference. I don’t think I would buy the full size of the product, but I enjoyed the sample.

Moving on, I received a sample of the Ardency Inn modster eyeliner. This eyeliner went on super smoothly and didn’t smudge too much. I am super picky with my eyeliner, especially black eyeliner, since my eyes are super watery. Eyeliner smudges on me very easily. Eyeliner samples are some of my favorite because you get so many uses, so I am happy to be able to test out the eyeliner more.

The golden swirly sample is Laura Geller’s New York baked gelato swirl illuminator. I do love highlighter. This color is very similar to my favorite Becca Cosmetics champagne pop, but is more sheer. More of a subtle highlighter.

Finally, I received a sample of Benefit’s gimme brow volumizing fiber gel. I have used Benefit’s gimme brow before. Ironically, I ran out of my eyebrow pencil when I received my Birchbox so it’s nice to be able to use this sample daily.

All in all, I am happy with my Birchbox this month. I hope the good boxes continue to next month. Do you subscribe to Birchbox? If not and you are interested, you can subscribe here.
