Micellar Cleansing Water

I think I have found my all time favorite makeup remover. A couple months ago, Garnier released a micellar cleansing water. This is not a new concept and similar products have been around for years.

I used to buy the Sephora brand micellar cleansing water. It was great at removing eye makeup, especially mascara. It has a pump on the top of the bottle which made it super easy to get the product out of the bottle. The Sephora cleansing water did sting my eyes just a bit if it got into my eye and had a price tag of $20 a bottle. When I heard Garnier was releasing a cleansing water, I couldn’t wait to try it.

It has quickly become my all time favorite makeup remover. It does not sting my eyes at all when I remove my eye makeup at night. It removes mascara with no problem at all. I apply a bit on a cotton pad and gently remove my eye makeup. If there is any stubborn mascara that won’t come off, I simply hold the cotton pad on my closed eye for 15-20 seconds. Garnier does also make a version of this that has oil in it for removing water proof makeup. I think that version has a blue cap. I have only tried the oil free version.

I am about half way through my first bottle and I still love it. I found it at Target and I believe it cost $6.99. I think it works better and is less expensive than the Sephora cleansing water. I mainly use it strictly for eye makeup removal, but you certainly can use it on your whole face. Even though the bottle says no rinse, I like to wash my face with a cleanser after to make sure my skin is thoroughly cleaned.

I definitely recommend this product!
